I have to chime in here. I agree with Corey at least 90% of the time. He has the experience and the eye that many here simply do not have. And he makes valid points here. Dani, in your first submission, we did caution you about connecting Jesus with the force and you did not make any changes there. I say that because I stand by that recommendation. It's not that we criticize and do not offer possible solutions. We give suggestions that you may find helpful. I could see your frustration if we trashed your design and gave you nothing to go on to improve. As Corey stated, the critique forum is the best place for feedback before submitting. I also agree with Tim, and generally like the work you submit here. Many times, by making a few simple adjustments, the design goes way beyond it's original state to reach it's potential. And how many times is that adjustment within the designer themselves to see their work from another vantage point?

and maheroni, it's actually not the case. with art, yes, do whatever you want, but with design, you'd be very wise to listen to your peers. design is way less subjective than art.
welcome to the world of design.
I dont mind critiqes but don't wait til I submit another one after asking AGAIN what did it come down to that I should change and not say anything until I post the changes that people said to make. Dont point something else out new everytime I re do it, say waht u want to say the first time instead of trying to make me change it 50 times or saying something different each time. Thats what annoys me.
Dani, you've had five shirts printed so far...keep doing what you're doing! Remember, if you like it that's all that matters.
you could say that i'm nit picky, that's fine. i think it's a good quality as a designer to be attentive to detail and always be finding ways to improve and always being teachable. so, sure, i'm nit picky.
Maheroni- Um... Corey isn't nit-picky. He's a good designer. He's pushing people to be the best they can be. If I didn't have people like him tell me my designs could look better, I'd still be back with stuff that looks like microsoft paint puked on a t-shirt. I understand you like the t-shirt, but Corey is giving his advice.
Dani- I mean no offense to your design. I'd agree with Corey in thinking that you could do better with this design, but over all I generally like the work you put out.
And to be honest, I liked the other design too!
Dani, you keep designing shirts the way you like. Because in the end, if you're happy with it that's all that matters, people are too nit picky on canvas. I like the design, and any Star Wars would love it nice job!
if you disagree with my opinions, then why is it annoying? on the last version i was too distracted with the different colored sabers i didn't think about the other stuff. and why not just post in the forums for critique first? that way you won't go through the "annoying" changes when you repost them.
Wow um it's honestly annoying that you knew I was going to make changes and you failed to mention that on my first one . Thankfully I don't feel your current suggestions are necessary and if canvas cares I'll change it for them.
bottom saber is unnecessary, especially since it is, for some reason smaller than the others, and i would have went with a more star wars-esque typeface. no, not the logo typeface, that's overdone. but something like this: http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_OS0MkeqUXug/S5VDT9AgkaI/AAAAAAAAAgg/cqDoiH_GNog/s400/TeaserPoster.jpg or this: http://movieart.net/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/returnofthejedi40x60-18138-3.jpg
