Hey thanks for the update.. And for the comment on the design it does mean a lot. I spent some time on that one. Unfortunately most did not get it... lol But ya I have been trying to come up with a way to get that one printed some how. I might work on the verbiage or change it some. Anyway thanks : )
depends what you're designing for. some good solid sans serifs are helvetica, bebas, steelfish, gotham narrow, seattle sans, telegrafico, etc. that's off the top of my head. depends if you want really fancy decorative fonts, really basic clean fonts, etc. also if you want free fonts or pay for fonts. a great font foundry that charges is letterhead fonts. they make really great vintage decorative fonts. amazing quality. you might recognize them from band logos like norma jean, the chariot, pierce the veil, and a ton of others. always be looking at great typography. mimic (dont rip off) successful designers you like (not other canvas designers that have little experience, i mean real major designers that have huge client lists). look at design blogs like abduzeedo.com that do typography articles. hope that helps.

Hey.. if you give me your email I will send you the retro Jesus. I made it into a wallpaper for someone else also. I was in the hospital with pneumonia and other complications. I am out but I am taking it day by day. Thank you for your concern. I got a new graphic pad for Christmas so I hope to use it soon and might be putting up a new design soon. Hello Danielle! Sorry I took so long to comment back. School is hectic and keeps me from coming on here as often as I'd like. :) You should definitely try costume design. I design in regards to theater where you get to tell a whole story about a character through clothes. It's lots of fun. Did you start your own line of Christian clothing? Cool!
Hey.. I have been so so I was in the hospital again about 3 weeks ago 5 days in ICU. My health is up and down depending on the day lol. I am not going to be on here much anymore way to many ego's that think they have life figured out. I joined because of the thought of Christian artist being able to relate and share and use the gifts that God gave us. But its turned into a click and ego match with a bunch of over confidant children lol. Anyway good to see you put something up I was going to put two up but I don't think I will because I know that it will not fairly get judged and there would be comments that would put me over the edge. Sorry about the typing I have a hard time anymore. Sorry to vent but I just wanted you to know what was up. How is your shirt company doing ?

Hey I know that you had a thread up looking for a printer and one that could do sleeve prints.. I have a company that I just started doing freelance work for its called AAM or All Access Merchandise. There website is allaccessmerch.com I just confirmed with the owner that they do sleeve prints and most anything you would be wanting. Check out their site they are a great company. If needed I could check some prices for you if you want let me know. :)

Hey no worries.. Just hang in there I completely understand the thing I had to learn a long time ago is that "Christians" lol cast more unneeded judgment on each other than Non believers. They like to cast there opinions and than endorse them with Gods word and for the most case God had nothing to do with it. The beauty is that God made us all different and with a purpose and I know sometimes its hard to see that purpose when your handicapped like us. The enemy would like nothing better than to keep us away from the good things that brings us joy. And designing for me is one of the only things right now that makes me feel needed.. And I a couple of times almost stopped on here again because of all the foolishness. But I realized that There are many good reasons to keep doing what I do because it honors God and it is part of what called me to do. So just take what some say on here as a grain of salt and understand that you are not doing anything for them but for God and yourself. There are some good people on here.. And I do believe in what C28 is trying to accomplish and that is what we can focus on... :)

well i've been kind of busy with a t shirt company, my 8th grade class started, i've been designing for them but, i hope to submit some more as soon as i get a chance! i have a lot of ideas and i just got photoshop so i am rollin!i love all of your designs, and i hope you get that design thing straitened out with canvas! i can't wait to see more from you!

Hey sorry about the e-mail thing but I would contact them and talk to them about the issue.. But by no means do not let this get you down.. God knows what you do and He is in control of all things. Keep pressing forward ok I know it's tough because of all the other issues of health and it is a lot easier for us to let these things get to use not to many people can understand that. I have done a lot of designs and have not won one yet on here.. But that's ok because I am building a portfolio that I know one day I will get printed.. So keep going forward :) Smile God loves ya...
To answer your question I used to be the Swimming Pool Industry I grew up in a family business.. But know I can't do much at all. I do not get out much because just going to the mailbox I feel like I ran a marathon.. LOL. I have to take each day for what it brings.. I do what I can with the talents that God gave me.. The only two things that help me from loosing it is God and my family. I think of Job in the bible and remember what he went through and think God has to have a purpose in all this.. Its a battle everyday. I went to bible collage to be in the youth ministry and the one thing I know is that I need to focus on what God called me to do. And this is a battle and the enemy is not going to win. Even if I have to crawl I will do Gods work because I know that what ever happens God has the victory in it all.. I also am writing a children's book and hopefully if I can get assistance do online collage to get a design or internet marketing degree.. Those are goals so in hope that someday I don't have to be in pain anymore.. My family will keep you in our prayers.. :) God Bless and remember he never gives us more than we can handle.. We just don't know our real strength through Him....

Just wanted to say I understand the health issues completely.. I take so many Med's its not funny I am on permanent disability and at the age of 38 and all of a sudden you can no longer do the things you used to and provide for your family it's a hard thing to swallow. If it was not for God and my family I would just want to give up.. I have fought depression also. My art is the only out let I can feel like I am accomplishing anything.. So from someone who can relate you always have an open ear from me.. Matt

Heya Danielle! i just wanted to say that your designs are really awesome (i love the "Cancer" one's pink cancer ribbon! the way that you executed it is sooo pretty!) I just read your bio and i think it's really awesome how God helped you through all these injuries and medical issues! It's so miraculous =] I acually kinda feel the same way as you do about having no christian friends and stuff even though i'm a lot younger than you hahah... it's hard but God really helps =]

that's ok, it's my pleasure... Personally I don't think so much about winning or losing this, i see Canvas as a platform that you or me or anyone else, to give a blessing to others. I try and make my t-shirts funny or clever or just good because i want people to look at them and be uplifted.. Like my Kanye West one.. I knew it wouldn't win or get made, because it had a limited life span for being funny. But if it just made one person laugh and feel better about there day, then I will be happy to lose every shirt i make. (ok sorry that was kind of a rant, and yes i do have more thoughts on it all, but maybe for another time) In other news... I truly love your style. You're not like other people on Canvas, your designs are fresh and different, which means (to me at least) you think and see it a little differently and that is always a good thing.... We should never forget it was a man who thought differently that fist said "you know... The moon... maybe we should go visit it?" well sister, sorry that it took so long to text you back,lol, but here i am, i didnt have a big plan for thanksgiving , but me and my family spent that day in orlando with my older sister, but we startered, from 6:00am in chuch giving thanks to GOD from the begining of the day until the nite with the dinner, but instead of turkey, we ate, pork,beef(for mexican tacos lol),chicken and shrimps with rice, it was a beautyful day and that was the plan, wat about you my siter wat did you do? No prob on reading it incorrectly, it happens. I too have battled with comfort inside the church doors. The church I attend now (its been a few months since i last went) has approximately 3,000 members and a HUGE sanctuary, actually there is a main sanctuary and 2 smaller ones. There are so many people and so many different clicks that a new-comer can be easily overwhelmed, and thats why I made the comparison with high school. Every still gossips, and everyone still starts rumors. As soon as someone says "shhh, dont tell" everyone starts listening, and cant wait to pass it on to the next person. I've come to believe that its just a part of life, and its not going to disappear into a cloud of smoke, its something we've just got to deal with. Never take what someone says for granted, and never speak if you are unsure of your own words. Unfortunately, we are all human and get things wrong. Have you tried looking for a youth group, or sunday school class to help out with? I would suggest trying to get involved somehow.

Just wanted to drop by and say welcome to the community. I admit i was nosy a bit and read the conversation between you and Chris lol. Church families are wierd now-a-days. Either its the name game or the fame game, which both work together. Sometimes at church im reminded of high school. Its all about the who is who. Of course this doesnt apply to all churches, but the ones i've been to have been clones of each other. Thats why i like Canvas so much. No one knows anyone, or anything about them, but we all comfort and uplift each other no matter how big or small the issue is. Its a great thing! Theres no clicks or groups here, just everyone helping everyone, and most importantly.....Glorifying God...And as for the b/f issue....We are a wierd specimen (haha) and more often than not we make the wrong decisions. I get frustrated with myself sometimes when i do things i knew i should not have. Eventually we grow up (I think). Until then, patience is a virtue, just dont give up on us, and we wont either. If that makes sense. God is the best man you can have in your life anyways. He will not disappoint, or betray...He will NEVER mislead you or cause you pain. He is the perfect example of the way we should all be, or atleast strive to be. Hope i didnt ramble on too much.
